In 2000 Stuart Allt Web Design was commissioned to create the UNDP Tanzania site. At that time UNDP offices world-wide were responsible for building their own sites, and quality and appearance varied greatly. Upon completion of the UNDP Tanzania site, UNDP global headquarters issued a directive that UNDP sites world-wide were to be modelled on the Tanzanian site.
